‘So You Think You Can Dance’ review: Will Ricky Ubeda, Valerie Rockey win?

In just one week, “So You Think You Can Dance” is going to air its big finale, and you will have a chance this year to find out who has secured the title for themselves. It’s always a close contest, but this year it’s a little different since there is not two winners divided up like we had last year.

The final performance show before the finale is also always a little strange, mostly because of the fact that there is no real results, so it’s almost like the performances from last week are a little irrelevant. Blame the voting system for that. Still, we got a very good show tonight, which will help to determine who could end up being the winner at the end. We don’t think that it is entirely clear, but some contenders are in a better place than others. For the time being, here is how we would rank them.

1. Ricky Ubeda – The most consistent in our eyes, and the one who also has never really looked to us like he is in serious danger?

2. Valerie Rockey – Statistically, in the same league as Ricky. The only difference is that we’ve been emotionally touched more by his routines.

3. Jessica Richens – She’s had a few ups and downs, but there’s always room for a darkhorse, right?

4. Zack Everhart Jr. – If Zack wins, it may be one of the biggest upsets in show history. It’s not that he is a bad dancer (he’s very good), but there have been some stumbles, and some placements near the bottom that made his journey here much harder.
