‘Suits’ season 4 spoilers: What’s next for Jessica and Jeff Malone?

We’ve already seen one almost-breakup on “Suits” season 4 in the form of Mike and Rachel temporarily calling it quits. Could we see another, and have it be more permanent this time? That’s very possible when it comes to Jessica Pearson and Jeff Malone.

One of the nice things about the first half of the season was that it allowed us an opportunity to get to know Gina Torres’ character on a more personal level, but in turn, it also showed us why the character has such a hard time meeting people: She has so many secrets to keep, and one of them has revolved all around Mike Ross. So how is Louis Litt finding out about this secret, and in turn asking for a partnership, going to change things? Speaking to TV Guide, executive producer Aaron Korsh makes it clear that Jessica and Jeff are going to have a few tense talks coming up in the future:

“Jessica and Malone in [Episode] 11 will be dealing with the consequences of that professionally first and foremost, which will affect their relationship in the future. It’s a big toll.”

Another little wrinkle in here that will also play a part in the future story is what Louis did asking Jeff for help back during the penultimate episode of the summer season. While it’s certainly possible that this somewhat-new couple makes it through all of this (and we do hope that they make it, since we like the two of them), this is going to take a little bit of time and a whole lot of trouble. Each are still struggling with the lines of whether personal trust automatically equals professional trust.
