‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 6 spoilers: How a new timeslot raises the stakes

More scoop -At the moment, we feel for the producers of “NCIS: Los Angeles” given the sort of challenge that they have before them. Not only do they have a show that is now in its sixth season (and therefore harder to keep fresh), but it also has the challenge of being in a new, very difficult timeslot.

Let’s put it this way: Not only does the series now have to compete against “Castle,” but there is also “The Blacklist.” Basically, there are three shows all about crime on at the same time, and this did not fare well for either “Hostages” or “Intelligence” on CBS last season. If nothing else, maybe this one can at least rejoice in having a devoted following already.

Speaking on the subject of how to excite potential new viewers in an interview with TVLine, showrunner Shane Brennan made it clear that there was some work to be done when it comes to making sure that there is an excited audience tuning in:

“We are going to try to make the show as noisy as we possibly can … Will we have some more-familiar guest casting? Possibly. We also hope to be able to make those great action sequences that we do so well even more intense.”

Our suggestion if you want to get people more excited about the new season, then just get Deeks and Kensi together already! These two have been star-crossed for long enough on the show, and the longer you keep the “will they or won’t they?” dynamic going at this point, the more frustrating that it is.
