‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: First photo of Megan Boone in ‘Lord Baltimore’

Let’s start with the hard, sad news right now: You’re still going to be waiting for a very long time to see more of “The Blacklist” on TV. The second season does not premiere on NBC, after all, until Monday, September 22. But, why not start to get a look at what is coming up now?

In the attached photo here, you can see a quick look at Megan Boone and James Spader as Liz and Red, with of course one noticeable difference: Liz seems to be going for an edgier look! This is like Liz meets Carrie on “Homeland” while trying to go incognito in the Middle East. We are looking forward to a much different side of this character right now based on what she’s been through. How could you not be changed given what she had to deal with when it comes to Tom, and then taking out all of the Blacklisters and being in those near-death situations?

Also, you have to perpetually deal with a man named Red who murdered your adopted father, and continues to torment you by speaking in half-truths most of the time. We are still by and large shocked that Liz even wants to put up with the guy the majority of the time, but she is.

There are of course going to be some other characters and surprises coming up, including Mary-Louise Parker in a big-time role. Hopefully, we’ll have more on that soon.
