ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7: Nathan Fillion’s dream wedding for Rick, Stana Katic’s Kate

While we are still waiting to see whether or not Castle and Beckett actually get married on “Castle” season 7, you don’t have to wait any longer in order to figure out where Nathan Fillion would want to see the two tie the knot … mostly just because of his own personal attachment to a certain place.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Fillion casts doubt first and foremost on the idea that his character’s capture could change his feeling about being married (saying that Rick “wears his joy on his sleeve”), while also detailing further about his personal preference:

“I would love to see Castle getting married on the shores of Maui in this little neighborhood I like to go personally for vacations because there’s a great bay right next door … You can snorkel there or scuba with turtles and there’s sharks sometimes depending on the time of day.” 

This ultimately seems like a two-for-one for Nathan: Giving fans the moment that they want, while at the same time giving himself some rest and relaxation in the process.

Unfortunately, it’s pretty unlikely that this will ever happen for the show, given that it would cost the producers a ton of money to ship the show off to Hawaii for an episode, in addition to travel times and all of that. The budget is probably very tight as it is given the number of stories that need to be told in a season, plus the salaries for all of the cast and crew members.

There is still hope for a wedding early in the season, though, even if the sight of Stana Katic’s character in a wedding dress in the first promo is probably not what you are hoping for.
