‘The Bachelorette’: Nick Viall explains Andi Dorfman remarks more on Sean Lowe’s blog

Nick -Sean Lowe’s blog on Patheos is quickly becoming an escape for former contestants on “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” to explain themselves, isn’t it?

It wasn’t that long ago that we saw Arie Luyendyk Jr. use this in order to campaign to be the next Bachelor and share his perspective on faith, and now, Andi Dorfman’s runner-up Nick Viall is trying to explain himself (again) for talking about the two of them sleeping together in the fantasy suite before she chose Josh Murray in the end.

Regardless of your thoughts on Nick and if he should have aired that much of his dirty laundry, we do think that the post is an interesting read. Here’s just a part of it:

“In her explanation, she confessed that she had never loved me.

“I let that sink in.

“She never loved me.

“As I sat there on national television, I tried to process this information. In my mind, I went back to that night in the fantasy suite. Though she couldn’t tell me that she loved me, I’d told her in no uncertain terms how I felt. I loved her. This was no fling for me. As far as I was concerned, we’d be engaged in a few days.

“To me, sex between us was a big deal, and she knew it.

“That’s why I feel Andi’s decision to have sex with me was not appropriate. Either she was unsure about our relationship or – worse – she was certain she was choosing Josh. In both of those circumstances, I felt as if she didn’t respect my feelings…”

There are parts of this drama at this point that do feel like us harping on something that is weeks old at this point, but this entire situation probably has to be awkward for almost all involved. Nick’s going to be asked about this forever, and while we don’t feel like he went into the “After the Final Rose” planning to say this, he still did and some will hate him for it. Meanwhile, others do sympathize with him and feel like what Andi did was wrong … but because of her position and newfound celebrity status, she really doesn’t have to explain herself. She has tried to avoid discussing Nick altogether since that discussion between the two of them ended, save for claiming that him bringing it up was “below the belt.” She has still not explained why she did what she did, but our logical guess is only that she, like so many others, “wanted to see the process through.”

Anyway, what’s said has been said, and hopefully all parties can move forward. Nick would be best suited at this point to get far away from the franchise.
