‘The Mentalist’ season 7 spoilers: Morena Baccarin stages return

Jess -While you may not be seeing Morena Baccarin on “Homeland” season 4 (unless there is some surprise Jess Brody appearance in there somewhere), we at least know one show that you will for sure be seeing her on: “The Mentalist.” Unfortunately, the episode will not be airing until next year.

As Entertainment Weekly reports, Baccarin will reprise her role as Erika Flynn for the upcoming third episode of the season, and if you remember, Flynn made it her best efforts to seduce Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) the last time that she appeared on the CBS hit. That is going to continue this time around, per the following quote from the website:

“Jane teams up with Erika Flynn in Beirut, Lebanon, where he and Lisbon have gone at the request of the CIA to take down an international weapons dealer. Erika has agreed to help Jane and the CIA in exchange for a pardon on the murder charges she’s still facing and the chance to return to the U.S. But as always Erika has agendas of her own, one of which may, or may not, be inserting herself between Jane and Lisbon.”

It’s interesting in a way how much this episode has a “Homeland” vibe to it, given that we have characters heading to the Middle East with the CIA’s involvement. Typically, Jane and Lisbon work much more exclusively with the FBI camp.

Of course, Morena is also known for her work on “V,” or playing Inara on one of our favorite shows ever in “Firefly.”
