‘America’s Got Talent’ results: Did Mat Franco, Acte II, Mara Justine, Jaycob Curlee advance?

America's Got Talent -Tonight was the second “America’s Got Talent” results show of the season, and we were just as curious to see if our pre-show predictions turned out to be true. It was a pretty predictable night by most accounts, given that the majority of the acts who looked good beforehand were the same ones that came out and impressed.

The following acts have advanced so far on the night, and we’ll have more as we get near the big finish!

Andrey Moraru – The only surprise that comes from him being safe is that he went pretty early in the show. He is brilliant for what he does, though, which is using his craft to tell stories and create art. He’s also one of the few acts this season who we feel hasn’t completely hit his ceiling yet.

Jaycob Curlee – Anyone could have seen this one coming a million miles away. He’s a young male singer with a good voice. He didn’t even have to give the best performance of his life, and it was still enough to see him go through to the next round.

Aerial Animation – Basically, we still feel like this is the closest thing to Kenichi Ebina on the show this year, and while she needs to pull some more tricks out of her sleeve, so far she has everything going for her to be a frontrunner and go very far.

Mat Franco – A very good magic act, and we’re thrilled that two of the top ten are in this category right now. It’s long been a favorite, but very few magicians have come even remotely close to the finish line.

Mara Justine – Not sure if we love the judges move here over Acte II. The latter probably has more potential right now, but we understand that Mara seems to want this very badly. (Still, watching children cry on TV is never very fun at all.)
