TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 3 spoilers: Official look at the first two episodes back

It’s been a little while now since you’ve seen “Dallas” season 3 on the air, but at least breathe easier knowing this: You’re only a few weeks away at this point!

Before we share the complete and official synopses for the first two episodes of this second part courtesy of TNT, let’s start with a scheduling quibble: Why make the show air on August 25? We know that you have other shows to finish, but this is the night of the Emmys, and a week off could’ve worked here. Not only that, but you are forcing the show to end on September 22 with what may end up being its series finale. Given the ratings, you’d think you would want to give the show a chance rather than force it up against the official start of the fall season. (The final two episodes are airing on one night.)

Now, quibble over: Let’s get back to share some scoop.

Episode 3×09, “Denial, Anger, Acceptance” – “The mid-season premiere finds the Ewing family searching for answers as to who set the fire at Southfork Ranch and who will survive. While John Ross and Emma struggle with their role in Pamela’s overdose, relationships among the family are forever changed.”

Episode 3×10, “Dead Reckoning” (a throwback title) – “The dark cloud over Southfork continues to grow with the news of a family death. Meanwhile, Christopher and Heather’s relationship is put to the test as John Ross tries to redeem himself with Pamela, who begins to face the real reasons behind her overdose. Elsewhere, Elena makes a drastic move to get justice for her family, putting John Ross directly in her crosshairs.”
