‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: Krysten Ritter to appear in premiere

The Blacklist logo any seasonThe cast of “The Blacklist” is certainly getting more eclectic for the upcoming second season, and while the show may be best known as a drama, the series did just add someone to the mix who is much better known for her comedy work.

Per a report from TV Fanatic, former “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23” star Krysten Ritter is going to be appearing in the show’s September 22 premiere as an analyst for a data security firm. There’s not a whole lot else known about the part, but given that Ritter is playing her, you have to think that she is at least reasonably prominent.

Ever since Ritter’s ABC comedy was gone far too soon, we have seen her attempt to break through in pilot season. Eventually, she is one of those performers who we feel will have a chance to get out there and succeed with a hit show; if nothing else, this part is a great stepping stone, given the pedigree of past people to appear on this show like Robert Knepper and Alan Alda. Next to “The Good Wife,” this is one of the most-coveted TV guest gigs out there right now.

This is just the latest interesting casting out there related to “The Blacklist.” It was recently announced that former “Weeds” star Mary-Louise Parker was going to appear in at least a handful of episodes in a mysterious part, and we also know that there is going to be a new series regular as well after we lost one during the first season.

While we wait for additional news on Ritter’s character, we ask you this: What do you think about the casting right now? Share in the comments.
