‘The Bridge’ season 2, episode 4 preview: ‘The Acorn’ falls, the show gets creepy

Just in case you did not think that “The Bridge” was strange enough this season, Wednesday night’s new episode “The Acorn” could put us even more dangerous territory. Anytime that you see a preview end with somebody screaming “don’t touch me,” you know that there is something pretty terrible that is about to happen.

The one consolation that we can give you? That the person screaming this is Sonya Cross, and we’ve learned over time that her Asperger’s causes her to react to normal situations in pretty shocking ways. Don’t necessarily think that Sonya says this in respond to someone about to do something terrible to her.

As for the rest of the clip, the moments that stand out to us the most are Eleanor’s continue demeanor being one of the most terrifying things that the show has done to date, and then Stephen continuing to share his own awkward brand of truth. Somehow, the presence of this enormous beard has managed to make the guy appear even stranger than he initially did.

Do we love this show? Very much so, but we also feel like we are getting to the point where answers are almost essential. There is only so much longer the show can go with this Stephen story before making us start to question if there is anything further we can get from it, unless of course we see him interact with the main characters more regularly. At least with Eleanor, we know that Marco and Sonya are on the trail.

Where do you want to see the story going next on “The Bridge”? Let us know right now with your thoughts.
