‘Doctor Who’ season 8 spoilers: Peter Capaldi really wants you to listen in new teaser

Doctor Who -While the wait may be a long one for new “Doctor Who” episodes, we feel like the BBC is overall doing a heck of a solid job keeping anticipation high. They’ve been releasing new teasers on a regular basis, and the latest one featuring Peter Capaldi really wants you to “listen” up.

Specifically, this preview shows you the juxtaposition of what is inside the Tardis versus the humble police box that sit outside of it, while The Doctor is on top of that before saying “listen” in what we actually feel to be a somewhat terrifying voice. The show has done a good job so far of really pushing that this Doctor is very special and worth watching, but also at the same time very different from the incarnation played by Matt Smith.

We also have to applaud the BBC for at least giving us something related to The Doctor on this Comic-Con weekend. Traditionally there would be a massive panel for the show in San Diego, but the series opted against that this year to do a global press tour that will take Capaldi and Jenna Coleman all around the world in a short amount of time in promotion of the show. This seems like a very exhausting ordeal, but the real benefit of it could be showing just how international the fan base for “Doctor Who” really is. After all, few other series premiere on around the same date all around the world.
