‘Ink Master’ season 5: When will the ‘Rivals’ season premiere?

Ink MasterIt’s been a while since we’ve written about “Ink Master,” and for a good reason: The show hasn’t been on the air in a little while.

What we do know was announced at the season 4 finale in New York earlier this year: Season 5 has a “Rivals” theme, and in addition to Joshua Hibbard and Jason Clay Dunn both returning to the show, you will also see some real-life tattooing rivals who have not appeared on the show before. This should be an cool mix of artists (bringing instant drama to the show), and we’re also interested in seeing if Joshua and Jason can beat what has felt like a curse of the returning tattoo artist the past two seasons. Tatu Baby made it to the end of season 3, but was rocked by controversy throughout as to whether or not she deserved it; meanwhile, Kyle Dunbar left the show during his second go-about after getting physical with Chris Nunez in season 4.

So when will the show premiere? We’ve received a tentative air date per the show’s Twitter account, and it will be airing this fall over on Spike TV. The premiere dates have always been something a little confusing about this show, given that it starts at random times of the year and is a little hard to keep track of thanks to it. Hopefully, the show is getting set now on a pattern where it will be on every fall and spring, and it’s therefore easier for fans to know when to catch it.

As you would expect, though, we’ll be back with coverage every step of the way, from reviews and previews to podcasts and much more.
