‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Frozen’ speculation in a new episode title

Frozen -Remember what happened the last time that Queen Elsa went into a town with her emotions all over the place? Basically, the entire kingdom of Arendelle was in trouble for a while.

While she’s obviously a little more in control of her powers right now, you still have to wonder whether or not Storybrooke is going to have a similar transformation on “Once Upon a Time” season 4. After all, co-creator Adam Horowitz posted on Twitter that “White Out” is the title for the second episode this coming season. Who knows? Maybe Henry needs to borrow some of it for a school project, and that’s the reason for the title … but we doubt it. Our entire brain screams that this is all about Storybrooke turning into a block of ice.

For those who love Jane Espenson’s work, you will also appreciate that this episode is being written by her. She wrote two episodes during the Zelena era in “Witch Hunt” and “Bleeding Through.”

While it remains anyone’s guess as to what the story of Elsa on the show will hold, we imagine it following at least a reasonably similar trajectory to what we saw in the “Frozen” movie. Horowitz and fellow showrunner Edward Kitsis have already made it clear that they have no intention of changing the Elsa character greatly like they did with Peter Pan, and they also are not looking to hook her up with someone who is in Storybrooke already. The major issue this coming season will be finding out why Elsa is around, what it is that she wants, and if there is a way to satisfy that.

We’ll luckily have plenty more scoop before the show returns to ABC on September 28, so be on the lookout for that! You can also be on the lookout for some more TV scoop from us at CarterMatt, and all you have to do is sign up now.
