‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 3 spoilers: When will filming begin?

Catch Me -It was just earlier this week that you had a chance to say goodbye completely to “Beauty and the Beast” season 2, but we already now have some of the first production information on the episodes ahead … even if the premiere date for them is still very much up in the air.

In a post on Twitter, Stuart Gillard (who directed the season 2 finale “Deja Vu” and many other episodes, in addition to being a co-executive producer) confirmed that he will be back to helm the season 3 premiere. Not only that, but he said that filming for the show will begin in August … which is really not that far away, and not that different from when filming is starting for some shows that are coming back on TV this fall. (“The Vampire Diaries” will only be a couple of months ahead of the game there.)

We recently wrote a piece detailing most of what we know right now about the new season, with one of the primary things being the return of Nicole Gale Anderson as a primary member of the cast. (She was originally a regular in the pilot, but that changed afterward.) We also know that the show is going to be adopting what potentially could be a new premise, at least in that rather than working for the police in a traditional capacity, Cat and Vincent could be teaming up on a higher level to take on supernatural threats against America. They will also continue to have struggles in their relationship, but it won’t be the same sort of “will they or won’t they?” dynamic that we’ve seen over the past two seasons. We don’t really get the sense that splitting them up again is high on the priority list.
