‘Longmire’ season 3, episode 6 review: One (possible) reveal

Big news -On tonight’s new episode of “Longmire,” we had a story that revolved around many things, including betrayal, wealth, and a cold case with a twist. Most of it was an isolated story, but we do not mind so much when the story overall is this good.

The major case of the week revolved about the supposed murder of an heir, who happened to not actually be nearly as dead as everyone thought that he was. This to us was one of the better ideas for a mystery all season long, and one that we did for the most part enjoy. With that being said, how do you talk about something that really has no bearing on the show’s overall future? It’s hard, other than at least saying that if we are going to have diversions, we appreciate it when they are interesting ones.

In crossing over to the Henry story, IT ALL TIES TOGETHER … or at least it does to a certain degree. Henry’s investigation into Malakai turned up many interesting connections, especially as he went deeper and deeper down the money trail. What we may have gotten through all of this is the face of the person possibly responsible for the death of Walt’s wife. We’ll see where that thread goes.

With every reveal comes consequences, though, and while Henry may have felt great motivation for taking this little journey to figure out what happened to Hector, he runs the risk of enormous legal trouble now that he went more than just a little bit beyond the radius of his ankle device.

Overall, tonight was a solid episode. We won’t remember it as much as others, but we are still happy we will remember it at all. Grade: B.
