‘Major Crimes’ season 3, episode 5 preview: Is one of the darkest stories ahead?

Major Crimes -Major Crimes” is not a show that tends to stay away from darker storylines or controversy, and with that in mind, you have to consider that this is a road they will continue to travel down in the future. After all, we have some further evidence of this very thing courtesy of “Do Not Disturb,” the upcoming fifth episode of the season that will be airing next week.

The promo below hypes up that this could be one of the “darkest” cases that we have seen to date, and it’s pretty hard to not have some sort of visceral reaction after seeing something like that. Immunity is at stake here for a man who may also be a murder suspect, and the division may find themselves in the pretty terrible position where they have a definitive suspect named, but due to some circumstances outside of their control there is not a whole lot that they can do.

Unfortunately, the official TNT synopsis below does not give a whole lot away when it comes tot he story of this episode itself, but there is still something particularly interesting in here for those who have been following the Riley story closely. Take a look:

The squad must work quickly when a foreigner is found murdered inside his hotel room; Rusty contemplates sharing a secret with the squad.”

We’re interested with the show getting as dark and gritty as it wants to, mostly because we feel like this is something TNT and really all of TV needs from the police world now that “Southland” is off of the air. Something needs to step up and assume this position, and this could be just the show to pull that off.
