Mrs Carter: She’s going to be a mom!
‘Private Practice’ star Caterina Scorsone and her musician husband, Rob Giles have announced that they are expecting their very first child together and will be welcoming their baby into the family this summer.
Scorsone shared the exciting news with People Magazine, saying that her baby bump is starting to become more pronounced now and that everyone on the set of ‘Private Practice’ has been incredibly supportive. She said;
“We’re over the moon. I’m starting to show now. Everybody on set has been pretty sweet and is offering me fruit.”
‘Private Practice’ creator, Shonda Rhimes, was inspired by the baby news and included a creative story arc for Scorsone’s character, Amelia on the show. Scorsone said;
“This year Amelia — who had been sober — fell off the wagon after her friend [passed away]. She hit rock bottom, had an intervention and went to rehab. So this news is on the heels of that. The news came out of left field and I think she decided she could use this for dramatic purposes. As an actress it never feels like the right time. But once we knew what was happening we were like, ‘This is perfect.’ Shonda was immediately excited and talked about what we could do when the baby came so [he or she] could be on set. She’s been unbelievably supportive.”
Scorsone also took to her Twitter account to personally share the news of her pregnancy with her fans and they couldn’t be happier for her. She wrote;
“Thanks so much for all the love everybody! It’s overwhelming! We couldn’t be happier. So glad we finally get to share the news.”
Congratulations to Caterina and Rob on their exciting baby news!
