MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4 spoilers: Who is Sergio?

Just as we are saying goodbye to the first half of “Awkward,” season 4, we have some further news and updates now about what is coming up in the second half.

According to some brand-new reports out of Deadline, actor Nika Pepaj (“Bunheads”) is going to recur in the back half of the season as Sergio, a man who works with Sadie on her German-infused food truck. There is not a whole lot else known about the character right now, but given the end of her relationship with Austin, we wonder whether or not she could be on the lookout for a new love interest.

Sadie is coming into this season in a certainly-interesting place, given that she and Jenna Hamilton actually worked together for a time in order to try and expose Eva as the sinister person that she is. Instead, what ended up happening is that she was able to use her newly-discovered pregnancy to lure Matty into a further relationship. Is she really expecting his child? All that the show executive producers wanted to confirm earlier this week is that we saw a positive pregnancy test. Whether or not that is her test or that the child is Matty’s still remains to be seen.

We’re just glad for any news that consistently keeps Sadie in the show, given that she has become our favorite person to watch week in and week out. Molly Tarlov always gets to say great things on the show, regardless of how offensive and terrible they may sometimes be.
