‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8: Could we finally meet Penny’s mom?

Big news -Even though “The Big Bang Theory” is a series that has been around for an impressive eight years and has enormous ratings, there is still a part of it that is majorly shrouded in mystery. By this, we are of course referring to the fact that there are still some parents on the show that are floating around the ether.

Obviously, there is one in Howard’s father that was addressed already in an interesting way, but for the most part Penny’s mom is a mystery. She doesn’t supposedly have a horrendous relationship with her, but at the same time she has never surfaced as a very important part of the story. We’ve met her father (played by Keith Carradine), and that was only for a brief appearance.

Unfortunately, at the moment even Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting doesn’t know just what this particular story is going to hold for her character. Speaking to TVLine, she does make it clear that she wants to make it happen; as a matter of fact, she has also figured out who she would want in the role:

“I know, I’ve been waiting! I don’t know what they’re going to do, but I have always thought — and I hope this doesn’t offend her because I know she’s super young, though we know Penny’s mom got knocked up very early – that Lisa Kudrow would be so perfect. I’ve said that for years. I think it would be hilarious, plus I’m a huge fan of hers, so it’s a selfish wish.”

We sign off on the idea of casting Kudrow, mostly because any chance to get a former “Friends” star on a sitcom should be a chance worth taking.
