‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: Stephen Amell hints at new superhero suit

See Oliver -What we have very much enjoyed about “Arrow” by and large is that the show has never felt pressure to overload itself with popular DC heroes or villains; in other words, it has not become the “Spider-Man 3” of TV shows. It has taken its time when it comes to bringing in familiar names, and also ensuring that not everyone finds out the truth about Oliver Queen’s alter ego at the same time.

So far, the slow pace had led to the only major costumes on the show being those of the Arrow, Arsenal (otherwise known as Roy Harper in a mask), and the Black Canary. (We’re not counting the villains in htere.) Could someone else be next? It is certainly possible. It is either that or the show is just planning to update an old costume.

Stephen Amell was at Phoenix Comic-Con over the weekend, and he gave a big hint that a new costume was coming our way (per Comic-book.com):

“DC is a really good partner for us, and they’re giving us access to characters that they wouldn’t have even considered giving us in the first season and they wouldn’t have given us in the second season. But I think we’ve proven ourselves. I think we’ve proven that we can present a worthy version of characters that people care a lot about, and so I would imagine that there would be no shortages of DC characters coming … I do know also that very early on in Season Three, we see a new superhero suit.”

The obvious guesses at the moment are that we are going to see a complete costume for Roy, or potentially something for Laurel given the Canary 2.0 teaser that was dropped during the season 2 finale. But personally, we’d love for it to be something more surprising, and with a character we did not see coming.
