While yesterday marked the end of the first season of HBO’s “Silicon Valley,” the network is now gearing up to say goodbye to another one of its critically-acclaimed comedy series: “Veep.”
So are things really going well for Selina Meyer right now? We wouldn’t exactly say that … at all. Instead, we would say something more along the lines of us being just a few short steps away from a full-fledged catastrophe. She is behind right now seemingly to a former baseball player of all people, and she is going to struggle to try to figure out how to get ahead in the game again. Some of the techniques that she will need to employ first of all include trying to be a little more folksy, and appealing to some of the people of New Hampshire on a more grounded level. Also, she will have to stump while standing on a stump so that people can see her … which we personally find to be pretty darn funny.
By the end of this season, we’re not going to know whether or not Selina is going to be President of the United States; instead, we’ll have made it through the primary season. We imagine that the fourth season will be more about the Presidential run … maybe. It would also be pretty funny if she somehow found herself in a position where she lost the primary, and ended up having to be Vice-President again for another person. This would be a way at least to elongate the series if they wanted to do that.
