‘Game of Thrones’ season 4, episode 8 preview: Peter Dinklage in ‘The Mountain and the Viper’

TyrionThe first thing you need to know about next week’s “Game of Thrones” is that there is, quite frankly, no new “Game of Thrones” next week. Thanks to Memorial Day Weekend, there will be no episode until early June, when the show returns with what will be yet another intense episode. What is the title this time? “The Mountain and the Viper.”

When it comes to trying to explain the meaning of the title, we feel like at this point it should be pretty obvious. We’re getting set for one of the most interesting face-offs imaginable! This is what we have been waiting for from the Prince Oberyn character since he was first introduced. Also, this should allow for more opportunities for Peter Dinklage to do some great things on the show.

In case you have not seen it already, take a look at the official synopsis below via HBO:

Unexpected visitors arrive in Mole’s Town; Littlefinger’s motives are questioned; Ramsay tries to prove himself to his father; Tyrion’s fate is decided.”

Can you believe that there are only two episodes left this season after next one? It’s certainly a reminder of just how quickly the story this season has progressed. Typically, it is the penultimate episode of the season that really drives the story forward the furthest and shocks everyone, and we will have to wait and see if that story holds up.

What do you want to see on “Game of Thrones” next week, and how insufferable is this two-week wait going to be for you?
