Mrs. Carter: Is Juan Pablo Galavis being welcomed again by ABC with open arms?
The story revolving the former “Bachelor” and “Dancing with the Stars” this season is certainly an interesting one. If you go based on some of the reports that are out there, then you will remember that at one point, Juan Pablo seemed to be a considered for the show. He wanted to do the show, and given his love for dance, may have even done a good job performing on it. However, production changed their mind on his casting after some of the controversial comments that he made, and he had to chart a different post-show future for himself.
With all of this being said, it all seems to be water under the bridge. Not only were he and his girlfriend Nikki Ferrell (who he picked at the end of the show, but he did not propose to) in attendance during Monday night’s show, but they were given pretty prime seating where the cameras could see them. (Heck, they were even in front of former contestant / TV sitcom royalty Florence Henderson.) Juan Pablo said on Twitter that the show invited the two of them to attend.
While we have said time and time again that Juan Pablo’s season was a trainwreck and he was the most unlikable guy to lead the show in a long time, we do think it’s a good idea for ABC to just move forward and not try to repeatedly bash him like they did in a recent promo for Andi Dorfman’s season of “The Bachelorette.” That just made them look petty, and it’s better for them to focus on what could be coming up next. Also, while we know that some executives didn’t like Juan Pablo’s season and some of the things he said, we’re sure that ABC did enjoy that the ratings were pretty solid from start to finish.
