‘The Originals’ episode 20 preview: Trouble ahead for Phoebe Tonkin’s Hayley

Phoebe Tonkin -Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Originals” brought a lot of good stuff to the table … but we mean good in more of the “entertaining” way than “actually good for all of the characters.” There were emotional moments aplenty with Cami, and Marcel tried to figure out just what sort of place he still has in the world.

So where does the show go from here? The next new episode is entitled “A Closer Walk With Thee,” which is an episode that certainly had some religious overtones in that lone. However, there’s nothing about that in the official synopsis below. Instead, it sounds like this story will be more about control, struggle, and Klaus and Elijah actually working with Genevieve in order to keep the resident werewolf alive. Just take a look at the full synopsis below:

Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) confronts a surprising enemy as she and her unborn baby fall into peril during a celebratory wake to honor a fallen member of the community. In order to save Hayley, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) enlist the help of Genevieve (guest star Elyse Levesque) who struggles to maintain control over Davina (Danielle Campbell) and the other young witches. Cami (Leah Pipes) tells Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) that Francesca (guest star Peta Sargent) is determined to find a mysterious key that may unlock a family secret. Meanwhile, as Klaus suffers from nightmares of his father Mikael (guest star Sebastian Roche), he is forced to examine his troubled relationship with his own adoptive son, Marcel.”

For those seeking more of what Klaus is going through with Mikael, you can witness some of that in the promo below. Cheers for more Sebastian Roche!
