ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: A Castle – Beckett wedding tease
As we get closer to the May 12 finale of “Castle,” it is starting to be all the clearer that the wedding for Castle and Beckett could actually happen this season. Even after the couple secured a venue earlier this season, we still had our doubts for a variety of reasons … with the major one being the sole fact that they’ve had to spend so much time dealing with all the responsibilities of work that it hasn’t led to a lot of time to plan a big ceremony.
So if there is going to be a wedding this season, the one thing we would caution you on right now is the notion that this could be a happy ceremony without problems, or things in which the bride and groom need to worry about. The latest tease on this episode via creator Andrew W. Marlow (per TV Guide) makes it seem like, as many TV weddings go, nothing is going to be so easy:
“Weddings can either go off without a hitch or they can be disastrous … [But] people can end up together after the disaster. We still have a few tricks up our sleeve.”
These tricks will probably be played out in “For Better or Worse,” an episode that features an appearance from “Warehouse 13” star Eddie McClintock as a man from Beckett’s past who has a history of not being up to any good. There is no word on if this episode will touch on some larger themes and issues for Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters, but the episode before in “Veritas” is going to touch more on the story related to Beckett’s mother. That may resolve that tale so that the finale can be a little more focused on happier things.
We’ll have more on the finale and the possible wedding as we near that date, but for now click here to see a preview for next week’s “Law & Boarder.” You can also sign up to get clues, updates, and other good stuff from our CarterMatt Newsletter.

My memory of the episode is that Beckett said “no” to the venue and explained the “no” to Castle the next day.
My take is this: As usual, the writers will yank us around but in the end the wedding will take place. My feeling is that there will not be enough time to get out invites, etc. So what will happen is: Castle calls the mayor, gets a big room in Gracie Mansion, calls Martha, Lanie, the boys, J.T.; Beckett calls her Dad and Aunt — they all meet – Caskett gets married and all is well —- BUT then the Senator or the “dead” triple murderer does a voice-over as Castle and Becket are leaving the nuptuals telling the world that they are going to destroy Caskett starting in September.
