TV Quick Hits: ‘Under the Dome’ season 2 tease, HBO castings, Amy Poehler fun

Under the Dome -First look at “Under the Dome” season 2 – You may still have to wait until the end of June for something to watch when it comes to CBS’ “Under the Dome,” but it’s never too early to share a photo … especially when that photo contains a notable cameo.

The network is already sharing some of the first material from the new season, which is one of the benefits to shooting so far before your season actually premieres. This is imperative as well for a show like “Under the Dome,” mostly because you want the time necessarily to tweak and adjust things that may or may not be working as you loke.

It’s not Pitbull, it’s Amy Poehler – Our favorite video of the week, which may just say a thing or two about our love for “Billy on the Street.” The best part of this particular video for us is Billy Eichner’s frequent reminders that he is “recurring” on “Parks and Recreation,” which is probably one of the reasons that he got Amy to appear on his show in the first place.

We love this show, but we would admittedly be terrifying if Billy ever came up to us on the street and started to shot things.

HBO casting news – The road to getting “Criminal Justice” onto the small screen has been a difficult one, and it started from the moment that its original star James Gandolfini passed away. He was replaced by Robert de Niro, but scheduling issues have caused him to have to drop out.

Now, Deadline reports that John Turturro will play the lead in this seven-hour miniseries for the network, and we already picture an Emmy nomination in the future. This is, after all, HBO! This is a chance for Turturro to remind everyone how awesome an actor he is.
