‘The Originals’ spoilers: Chaos will ensure in dramatic finale

No matter how you look at it, “The Originals” is a series that often chooses to embrace chaos and insanity. So with that in mind, can you really be that shocked to find out that this is the gameplan for the finale? The only difference between this and the most of the other updates for the show could be that this hour does find a way to accelerate most of the craziness to a level that we haven’t quite seen to this point.

Of course, you are not going to get too many details right now when it comes to whether or not certain characters are going to survive, mostly because there is still a story that needs to be told until that time comes. However, executive producer Julie Plec did offer up the following during a new interview with E! News, and that should be a nice little source for additional insight:

“We will see one faction make a very, very, very aggressive, hostile move and take everybody by surprise and leave a lot of the Quarter as we know it in chaos.”

What we hope that the finale addresses is something that it probably won’t: Will Claire Holt return soon, or should we just expect a season without Rebekah coming up? We don’t want to have a carrot dangled in front of us for too long, since we know that she was a big part of the show, a fan favorite, and there are plans for at least some sort of eventual return. Also, the ratings have been down since her departure.
