‘The Mentalist’ season 6, episode 18 preview: Favors for Patrick Jane

Here’s the thing about “The Mentalist“: Even if Patrick Jane is not the primary focus of a scene, he still finds a way to be a frequent subject of conversation. If you want to see some more evidence of that, don’t worry: We’ve got it for the you in the video sneak peek below from Sunday’s “Forest Green.”

Basically, these scene is an educational lesson into how much people manage to do seedy favors for Patrick. This time around it is Cho, who really hasn’t had enough good stuff to do as of late, and also one of the new faces to the show in Wylie. He has become an asset for Jane since he first came on the scene in “Green Thumb,” and it is expected to stay that way for at least the next few episodes.

We’ve spent a ton of time as of late sharing information about Jane and Lisbon, and  understandably so since that relationship is looking more and more like it will be addressed by the time the end of the season rolls around. But there are some potentially-interesting cases coming up in the future, as well. The charm of “Forest Green” is that it will allow Jane to be immersed fully in the country-club world, where you get to see all sorts of extremely-wealthy characters and people who don’t tend to enjoy being sniffed around by people in suits. You know how well Jane tends to play with others? That will almost surely be addressed here and then some.

As for Cho, let’s just hope that we get some further way to bookend his character before the series comes to a close. Doesn’t he deserve a chance to figure out what his own future is going to be?
