‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: ‘King of the Damned,’ Misha Collins, and Alaina Huffman

What's coming up? -Supernatural” season 9 will be nearing the end by the time that “King of the Damned” airs, and while there is still a little bit more story to come after this hour, you better believe that this one is going to contain some important content.

One thing in particular about this May 6 episode that is important is the full list of actors appearing in it. Of course, you’ve got mainstays Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, and then series regular Misha Collins is joined by Mark Sheppard, Alaina Huffman, and Tahmoh Penikett. Basically, we’re a couple of people away from having the full season 9 gang present for this one. The synopsis below should further let you know that at this point in the season, we’re all about the main plot:

Castiel (Misha Collins) captures one of Metatron’s angels (guest star Gordon Woolvet) and asks Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help with the interrogation. Dean eagerly accepts, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Sam. Meanwhile, Abaddon (guest star Alaina Huffman) demands Crowley (Mark Sheppard) help her kill Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). When he refuses, she reveals her shocking bargaining chip. Also, Castiel (Misha Collins) sets a meeting with Gadreel (guest star Tahmoh Penikett).”

By the time this episode ends, you should know the direction of the final few episodes … and yes, that excites us greatly. If tradition holds from last year, this will mean that we will also get an idea further as to what we’ll see in season 10. We’re down for more Abaddon and also more of Castiel’s struggles with the angels, at least so long as we see them pretty regularly.
