NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 2 spoilers: A very descriptive tease from Bryan Fuller

Hannibal -Hannibal” is really now at the point in the season where things are starting to get good … as in, crazy good. This show is insane to the point where we wonder how in the world it gets on network television.

Speaking of things that are going to surprisingly be on network television, how about a tease for what could be a particularly graphic scene involving multiple people that runs for a good chunk of the episode? There’s really no sake in us ruining what is a perfectly good description from executive producer Bryan Fuller, so let’s go ahead and turn to some of his latest comments per TVLine:

“In Episode 10, we have a six-and-a-half minute seduction/sex scene involving five different characters that is as kinky and subversive and suggestive as any sex scene that you have seen on network television …  would put it as a contender to challenge cable sex scenes — not in terms of the nipple and crack of nakedness — but more in the psychology and sensuality of sex amongst the mad.”

Fuller is on the same wavelength as us when it comes to really understanding why his show is so very messed-up, and how it doesn’t really have anything at all to do with what they show as how they play it out psychologically. They find a way to make violence into something that looks artistic, and it crawls into your brain like a parasite and eats away at you. It’s a much more effective emotional trigger than just showing you a ton of blood or people shooting each other in the traditional TV way.
