‘The Blacklist’ spoilers: Is someone going to die?

Sometimes at CarterMatt, we try to not be ominous. However, it’s very hard to be anything other than ominous when you are dealing with something like death … even if it is fictional death on a TV show.

Here is what we know right now. According to a report from E! News, there is going to be a significant death on “The Blacklist” before the end of the finale next month. Also, we know that the person most impacted by this is going to be Diego Klattenhoff’s Ressler. This means that clearly, he is not the person who dies, but it is someone he either knows from his personal life, or he has a connection to with the FBI.

If we had to put on our detective cap here for a minute, you can also probably rule out both Liz Keen and Reddington. They are the two leads of the show, and without them, you really don’t have anything to go on. Outside of this, though, we could see anyone being in danger … even Tom. After all, how much more of a story is there with him once Liz figures out who he is? From this vantage point, it seems at least fairly clear that he is working for some sort of higher power, and is not controlling that much of what he is doing. His boss is much more interesting than him moving past this season, since it’s pretty fair to assume at this point that his boss is someone other than Reddington..
