‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5 spoilers: A Sam-specific story lies ahead

Over the past several episodes, most of “NCIS: Los Angeles” has been geared around the Deeks and Kensi characters, and it’s pretty darn easy to understand why. They’ve had a lot of really good material to work with in between their “romance,” Afghanistan, and her attempts now to get back to the field.

But, at the core of this show still is Sam and Callen, and that is something that we are going to see picked up again for “One More Chance,” an episode airing on Tuesday, April 29 that will allow LL Cool J’s character an opportunity to revisit a case that he wasn’t sure he would ever get another crack at. If you want to get some more details all about this, then just take a look at the synopsis below:

“Sam is convinced that the theft of software for a new unmanned aerial vehicle is connected with the disappearance of the lead engineer’s 10-year-old daughter, a girl Sam once provided protection detail for in Saudi Arabia.”

The downside to this is that the story seems extremely procedural, and late in the story, we prefer something that has a little bit more time to build from one episode to the next. Maybe there is something more that will be a part of the episode that we aren’t seeing right now … or at least we hope so. Having an emotional story with Sam at the center of it can be really great, but we prefer it when there are a few other elements that really let the story fire on all cylinders.
