ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6: Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, cast wrap things up
There’s some good news and bad news today, “Castle” fans. What you should celebrate is that the show’s upcoming sixth season is officially wrapped for the cast and crew today, and whatever happens between Castle and Beckett has now been filmed.
This brings us, of course, to the bad news: There are no more filming announcements or big reveals to tease in between now and when the show starts (potentially) filming again this summer. It feels weird to keep putting the “potentially” caveat onto things, but the sad truth is that the show’s fate is still not officially set in stone. We don’t fully understand it at times, given that fans love the show, it gets solid ratings, and it also is not dependent on a lead-in. However, you have to remember here that no ABC series has been officially renewed yet, so it’s not like “Castle” is getting sent to the back of the classroom while everyone else gets the special treatment.
What we can tell you about the final few episodes, at least vaguely, is this: At least one of the show’s major arcs is going to be examined again in addition to Castle and Beckett’s wedding plans, and while it is not confirmed that the wedding is actually happening this year, there has not been any evidence to the contrary. There will also be guest stars! Eddie McClintock of “Warehouse 13” fame is the most noteworthy person to stop by coming up … and he’s also been an awesome source of social-media photos. (Take a look at the one below via Instagram.)
We know that many want to see the “Caskett” wedding happen before season 6 ends, but to be honest, we’ll be okay if it doesn’t happen just yet. All we want is to see the story continue to build to the point where we see Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic play it from every angle, and then have the wedding happen. Given how there really hasn’t been that much drama yet surrounding the big event, you have to think that some is coming.

I have a real “love hate” relationship with ABC. I love them for giving us “Castle” but I truly hate them for always being the very last network, broadcast or cable, to “officially” announce they’re renewals! Argh!!! What is the freak’n deal with that?!? If I honestly thought it would help I say we start a protest. Email, Twitter, Facebook, old fashion snail mail, everything and just bombard them with demands to tell us – one way or the other – NOW!! This is torture and its very rude to the fans – not just for “Castle” but all the shows on ABC.
Educated guess: given the *trouble* (for lack of a better word) with negotiating a two season renewal last year at this time despite outstanding ratings, Fillion’s “disruptions” at the beginning of this season with him wanting a shorter work week, and some of the cryptic tweets from some of the cast lately – not to mention ABC’s lack of proper promotion for the show – it wouldn’t surprise me if it doesn’t get renewed or if it is, its only for a half season order (13 episodes) to wrap up the series. I know all good things must come to an end at some point but, man. I just have a bad feeling about this. :(

I hope the wedding happen as soon as possible. I can not believe ABC did not renew the best series of all time. Brazil loves Castle. We want many new seasons.
