‘Bones’ season 9, episode 19 preview: Emily Deschanel, wealth, and Flyers

Take a look -Are you ready for the next great “Bones” mystery? Next week, the show returns on Fox with one entitled “The Turn in the Urn,” which revolves all around the concept of an extremely wealthy man who someone finds a way to attend his own funeral. No, this isn’t the ABC show “Resurrection”; it’s one of the more intriguing mysteries that the show has brought us so far.

Before we do anything else, let’s start this off the same way we always do in sharing the full synopsis for this hour:

“When Todd (guest star John Sloan), a wealthy artifact collector, walks into his own funeral, the Jeffersonian team must find out to whom the cremated remains at the funeral belong. The investigation gets complicated when the team determines that there are three sets of remains in the urn. Meanwhile, Finn (guest star Luke Kleintank) enjoys his newfound wealth from his hot sauce venture with Hodgins, but is heartbroken when Michelle (guest star Tiffany Hines) has devastating news for him.”

The promo below really didn’t show too much more about the mystery that the synopsis doesn’t give you already, save for a little bit of a comedy. This may just all be editing, but we saw Booth seemingly get confused with a series of big notes; meanwhile, we also saw Brennan have to figure out whether or not she could handle all of the references to Booth’s favorite team in the Philadelphia Flyers. Despite his location, David Boreanaz’s character is not a Capitals fan.

This seems overall like a fun one, and while we understand the frustrations for those of you wanting some more scoop on the long-term story, remember that there is still time for that. The finale, based on what we know, will bring the Ghost Killer back into fold.
