‘The Mentalist’ season 6, episode 16 preview: Lisbon’s new love interest arrives

Mentalist -Next week on “The Mentalist,” the story is moving forward from being about Rigsby and Van Pelt to a couple that has been “will they or won’t they” for years: Jane and Lisbon. Unfortunately for you, there is probably not going to be the sort of quick-fix solution to this problem that you would be hoping for.

Instead, next week’s “Violets” introduces Pedro Pascal (“Game of Thrones“) as Agent Pike, a handsome man who Lisbon is going to be drawn to not long after the story begins. Could this cause some jealousy, or be a distraction from the case? We’ll just have to see how this all plans out, but for now, take a look at our full synopsis for the episode below:

“Jane enlists his colleagues in a dangerous sting operation to catch a deadly team of art thieves. Meanwhile, sparks fly between Lisbon and an agent from the FBI’s art squad.”

While we understand there being some mixed emotions at the thought of a new man coming in and clouding up the picture, there is at least thing when it comes to a silver lining in it all: Watching Jane and Lisbon spend so much time together in the first place. This may feel like a very old-school episode of “The Mentalist,” which we have not really had since before the Red John case started to pick up steam earlier on in the season.
