Oscar aftermath: Idina Menzel on ‘Jimmy Fallon,’ Bill Murray – Amy Adams hilarity

Before we completely close the books on the 2014 Academy Awards, now seems like the perfect time to share what were some of the highlights that came out of some of the late-night shows Monday following the big show. The two that we’ve got here qualify as favorites for very different reasons.

1. Guillermo at the Oscars – Jimmy Kimmel really hit it out of the part finding this guy. The former parking lot security guard has become the guy-on-the-street interviewer, and on the red carpet this weekend he drank with Amy Adams and Bill Murray (who was hilariously unfazed by the taste of tequila), tried to lure Leonardo DiCaprio over to him for an interview, and then asked Chiwetel Ejiofor if he could refer to him as “Bob” because he could not pronounce his name for the life of him.

It’s just pure fun, mostly because we feel like at least one or two people in here probably did not even know who Guillermo was outside of a guy possibly trolling him.

2. Jimmy Fallon, Idina Menzel team up for “Let It Go” – Idina would have probably made some headlines for her performance of the big song from “Frozen” at the Oscars regardless of whether or not the John Travolta moment happened … but because it did, it became international news.

Rather than address being referred to as “Adele Dazeem” during her appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” this week, Menzel did something a little different and performed “Let It Go” with the help of children’s instruments and The Roots. This is something that Fallon has done with a variety of other celebrities on his show, and to us the biggest surprise is that she was still able to hit these notes while sitting down in this environment.
