‘Dancing with the Stars’: When will season 18 cast will be revealed?

Since the past 24 hours or so have been very “Dancing with the Stars” heavy thanks to the sudden firing of Brooke Burke-Charvet after so many seasons aboard the ABC juggernaut, it really only feels appropriate now to ask the next big question: When is the new season’s cast goign to be revealed?

At the moment, we can tell you the following: Tuesday, March 4 during “Good Morning America” will be the reveal, with the show premiering on Monday, March 17. There is no two-night format, and just like with the fall, there will be twelve celebrities from various walks of life competing for the Mirrorball Trophy.

Do we have big expectations for the crop this time? Hardly. If we were a celebrity, we’d be very troubled about the recent firings of both Brooke and the longtime show band, even if there is a new one in place when it comes to the latter. We still feel like it is very possible that the show could shift down to a one-host format as a way to save even more money, which is quite a bit of pressure on Tom Bergeron to make sure that he gets the show that he wants.

So in the end, we expect something along the lines of an Olympian from the Sochi Games, someone with NFL history given that we’re in the offseason (Tim Tebow, maybe?), a soap star, a few reality TV people, someone on the Disney Channel looking to branch out, and then another couple of actors that you may have marginally heard of. This is the blueprint that the show has followed for quite some time, and it feels rather unlikely that they would suddenly change it up.
