‘Dancing with the Stars’: When does season 18 premiere? Find out now!

Excited to see “Dancing with the Stars” get back in the ballroom for another season? We imagine that you are not alone in that, since this continues to be one of the most-watched shows in television even if it has slipped somewhat in recent years. But the one-night format helped the show greatly, given that it did greatly reduce the number of times we had to spend watching boring results shows, or filler during the actual program itself.

Now, we also know a thing or two about when we are going to see the show back on the air again. ABC announced on Friday that the date for the new season is Monday, March 17, which is completely in line with almost every season of the show to date. Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet will return to host, and they will be joined by judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli. Given that Len is not having to go back and forth between America and Britain every week this spring (as he did when “Strictly Come Dancing” aired this past fall), he’s not going to have to miss any weeks this time around.

So when can you find out the list of stars actually appearing on the show? Given some of the past traditions, we could see them all coming out around a month or so from now. There are not any major celebrities on the radar, but we wouldn’t be surprised if there was an Olympian given the timing, or also current “Bachelor” star Juan Pablo Galavis (even though he seems to have some sort of dance experience already, based on what we saw in the premiere).

As for if there is still a future for the show beyond the spring, we still very much think so. Even though the ratings aren’t enormous in the demo, it’s hard to imagine ABC turning away their most-popular show. The one thing that we would consider for them is moving it to summer, given that it seems to do significantly better when not against “The Voice.”
