‘The X Factor’ UK: Has Cheryl Cole brushed off rumors of 2014 return?

If you are going to see Cheryl Cole back on “The X Factor” UK later this year, it may even be a surprise to Cheryl herself. The former Girls Aloud member is keenly aware of the fact that there are rumors about her in the media about her return to the show, but for the time being she has a very similar answer to almost all of them: Don’t believe everything you see until she says it herself.

In a post on Twitter, Cole seemingly references that this is a sort of ritual that she goes through with the British press almost every year regarding a possible return:

“Same rumours different day/year”

The real issue that we see in the continued deluge of “X Factor” judging rumors is mostly that something is going to have to give, meaning that unless the show does something appalling and decides to start moving into a new format with five judges, either Cheryl, Nicole Scherzinger, or Dannii Minogue is not going to be a part of it. Louis Walsh will probably return just because that’s what he always does, and then you have another spot that could actually go to Simon Cowell, at least if you believe that the American version of the show is either going to be canceled, or it will change to a new format that will not require him to spend as much time in the United States with his talent.
