‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 2 spoilers: First details on ‘Don’t Die on Me’
“Beauty and the Beast” returns to The CW with new episodes starting on Monday, January 13, and based on some of the details that we have for this first episode entitled “Don’t Die on Me,” it could be the sort of thing that drives some fans up the wall. It’s more about Cat and Gabe seemingly than Cat and Vincent, and the other woman in Vincent’s life in Tori is also going to be back to get involved in things.
Before we do too much else, let’s just start off by sharing the official synopsis released by The CW, just so we can give you a sense of some of what is coming up just around the bend:
“In order to prevent Vincent (Jay Ryan) from further injuries, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) helps protect Tori (guest star Amber Skye Noyes) when her life is threatened, revealing a new, unexpected mystery. Meanwhile, Vincent’s stubborn attempt to intervene leads to life-changing consequences, which causes Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and Cat to grow closer.”
Now, let’s ask the question that has to be the elephant in the room: With this show in danger of being canceled, are they really going to send it packing with us thinking that Gabe and Cat are somehow the end game? Personally, we mark that one as “doubtful.” What we feel that they are somewhat more likely to do is create some tension here for a few weeks (this episode is only 2×09), and then find a way to bring Vincent and Cat together a little bit later on, that way to provide some sort of closure in the event that the show ends. But, that’s just a prediction.
What do you think is going to happen the rest of the way on “Beauty and the Beast” with this complicated Gabe / Cat / Vincent / Tori love rhombus of sorts? Share your thoughts with a comment below!

I’m a fan and had hoped Cat and Vincent could finally get a break by season’s end. But he really has to find himself first, or we the fans might even start hoping for a breakup! As grim as it now seems, I think there’s hope since GaBeast had a crafty squeeze, and she revealed an interesting formula to JT in mid-season 1. Anyone else notice that? I would also like to let her father in, but that remains to be seen. Cat and Vince had such a poignant love, one of the great strengths of the show, it would be nice to see a little progress. Also, I love the music picks!

Their love is strong enough to survive, but I can understand the need for some spice. Gabe & Cat may grow closer, but her love for V is her destiny.

During the first season, whatever the critics comment at the time
was not in accordance with the preference of the public in “Beauty and the
Beast”. The evidence is such that the series was honored with a “People’s
Choice Award”. Also, what a whole community of fans was commenting and
discussing about this series, was definitely not in accordance with the
“ratings” announced. Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan had a “supernatural
chemistry” in the first season, and what they( I mean directors, writers and
producers) did, or what they had to do because of the unexplained low ratings,
it TOTALLY worked. Everyone watched until the last drop of Beauty and the Beast,
season 1. The story of Catherine and Vincent “against the world”
captivated all of us. As much as Sheri Cooper and Jennifer Levin thought they
were being too cliches they were NOT. While they were simply being original
they became unique. Except that, in the second season, these fantastic ladies were
taken by the sameness of the stories contained in the series as a whole and
simply ended with the originality of the show by introducing a way to test
their own love story (“push to earn it”) AND… a love triangle, turning
what was so victorious for them in the first season in something more cliché
than ever. And now, all the will of the fans to continue watching the
characters Catherine and Vincent hitherto existed, faded with what was
introduced as their main one “mantra”: “Who Am I”, transforming
the story unfolds in a pathetic breakdown ritual of all that they built in an
entire awarded 22 episodes season. I cannot possibly understand how people can
wiggle with a team that is winning to make it be defeated this way. And so far,
every desire of fans to continue watching Catherine and Vincent hitherto
existed, fight for their love is decreasing every day. I personally got tired
of “the beast” character that had been transformed in a prototype of
“super-robot-man” without emotions, BUT that in some macho moments is
allowed to him to have some “extra ” feelings. The lead actress
(Beauty-Kristin Kreuk) looks more like a homeless that is also devoid of self-esteem,
contrasting with the “she-beast” introduced in Chapter 6 of this
season which is totally sexy and wears beautiful clothes, which make “it” even
hotter. Seriouslly??? So, are they “pushing to earn it” what,
actually? For the love of God …. Kristin Kreuk was nominated last year for
two categories of the Teen Choice Awards and won a PCA ….. The woman is a purple belt in judo, knows how to fight
and played a skillful, intelligent, wise AND hot
cop in season 1. What a waste of talent …. And
I do not know what may have happened to Jay Ryan that now feels like he would
be the sexiest man in the world by making his voice become hoarse while
speaking in the american accent in “previouslly on Beauty and the
Beast” and presenting some exercises more than basic ones compared to those
on which Stephen Amell performs on “Arrow”. He has a lot to learn
about what is actually being sexy. I now bet more on the exotic beauty of
Sendhil Ramamurthy, who surely was not unintentionally killed at the end of the
first season by the writers but, accidentally, and, personally, I, want him and
Catherine being together and living happily ever after at the end of this
season or at the end of this show. Go figure!

i am huge fan of shows that have a combination of action, and romance, when the writers decided to shake things up in Cat, and Vincent life. I had no problem with that, but there are other challenges in life that make a relationship stronger, romance is what a lot of females fans want, this keep fans excited, and can’t wait to tune in for the next episode.Pushing the couple further apart is unfair, it takes away the heart of the.

They keep pushing them apart from what I am reading, and do this knowing it will probably lead to cancellation, since most fans want the two together.I do like all the action this year, but the writing has gotten way off the mark. They keep forgetting the name of the show is Beauty and the Beast which is why fans started watching to begin with.

I think the show is only now starting to get interesting. Cat and Vincent have zero chemistry in my opinion. I find them completely unconvincing as a couple. Vincent and Tori on the other hand…they have more chemistry just looking at each other than Cat and Vincent have in the sack.

I am a huge, huge fan of the show and think the writers are being very creative with the show so far. If C and V were always happy and content the show would get boring and repetitive. Having them apart and with other love interests will make their chemistry exciting while in the same room or working on same case. They will of course be together in the end but as the actors themselves have suggested they will have to earn each other’s love in season two. I find the special effects and action filled drama, bromances and romances exciting and addictive. It is one of two shows I watch on the CW and can not understand why most likely will be cancelled. I wish the CW would stop messing with its schedule and fans would stop complaining about Gabe and Tori as the writers have every intention of VinCat being endgame. They need room to be creative so the show can be exciting, dramatic and have suspense as that is what keep the audience interested. If it was always about romance between VinCat the storyline would get boring and repetitive. The writers are doing an amazing job and so creative but should also say what really make the show are the two lead actors JR and KK as they are so spot on as Beauty and Beast. Hope they will not cancel as I and million other Beasty fans will be very, very depressed to see JR go back to New Zeland and Kristen Kreuk to Canada:-) she is my new girl crush and JR my new man crush:-)

Kate, I have nothing to add. I totally agree with all you’ve said! I don’t wanna watch a boring show either. We just have to be patient, we will be rewarded. I love this show!

I was hoping that they weren’t going to go down the road of Cat & Gabe romantically and ditto for Vincent & Tori; I was hoping that the producers & writers were listening to what fans have been saying both on the www as well as by the ratings but based on the spoiler for ep 9, this isn’t going to be the case. They can find other challenges to the Cat/Vincent relationship and development of the characters without going down these very tired and sopera like storylines. What’s really unbelievable is Cat forgiving Gabe for almost killing Vincent last year (and her) and the reason Vincent was kidnapped by Daddy dearest – leading to his changes – changes in him that she cannot forgive. Now let see her get romantic or closer to Gabe? Please, this is what’s frustrating the fan base of last year – we just want something more consistent with the characters from last year – they all seem to have disappeared, including our JT & Tess.

Jennifer, they said Cat and Gabe will grow closer but I don’t believe they will have a real love relationship, maybe more as friends. So isn’t Vincent and Tori, she is not a love interest. I think the writers create a very exciting story this way. I can’t wait to find out about the deeper connection of Cat and Vincent and the new mythology. We jjust have to be patient to see how the story unfolds.

If there is time for the story to unfold. The writers seem to think they have all the time in the world to bring them back together.I hope they do.I hope this wonderful show doesn’t get cancelled, but we do want the characters to be more consistent, and not Gabe and Tori. The fans really want to see J.T. and Tess and Vincent and Catherine. If the show gets cancelled,at least the fans want a decent conclusion.
